Draft Local Growth Plan Published for Feedback
The draft Kent and Medway Local Growth Plan is now available to view, and the Kent and Medway Economic Partnership (KMEP) is inviting feedback from businesses, local authorities, education providers and other stakeholders with an interest in the future growth and prosperity of Kent and Medway.
The draft plan has been shaped through an extensive programme of engagement over recent months, including workshops held in May 2026 which attracted contributions from more than 150 stakeholders from across the public, private, education and voluntary sectors. Their insights have helped inform the priorities, opportunities and investment propositions set out in the document.
KMEP is keen to hear the views of informed local stakeholders as the plan enters its final stages of development. The purpose of this consultation is not to substantially rewrite the document, but rather to gather constructive feedback that can help refine, strengthen and improve this draft before it is finalised.
To support this process, KMEP will hold a Local Growth Plan Feedback Workshop on 30 September 2026. This session will provide an opportunity to discuss the draft plan, highlight any areas for improvement, and contribute final observations.

Attendees are asked to read the draft plan in advance and, where possible, submit any written comments ahead of the workshop to help ensure a productive discussion. There will also be an opportunity for participants to raise comments and suggestions during the session itself.
